What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Installer position at Environmental Air Systems?
Key Responsibilities
- System Installation & Commissioning: Lead the installation of commercial equipment such as RTUs, split systems, VRF systems, boilers, and air handlers. Perform final system start-ups, testing, and commissioning.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and accurately interpret complex mechanical drawings, schematics, and project specifications.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise installation crews, assign daily tasks, manage workflow, and provide hands-on training to junior installers.
- Project Coordination: Communicate with project managers, general contractors, and clients to ensure alignment with timelines and budgets.
- Quality & Code Compliance: Ensure all installations meet local, state, and federal building codes, manufacturer specifications, and company standards.
- Field Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical challenges or installation issues in real-time.
- Safety Enforcement: Maintain a safe job site by enforcing OSHA and company safety protocols.
- Documentation: Complete accurate job logs, track materials, and finalize close-out reports using field management software.
