Area Manager – Commercial Janitorial Services

Environment Control is seeking a motivated, dependable, and hands-on Area Manager to oversee nightly janitorial operations throughout the Greater Sacramento area. This position is ideal for someone with prior management or supervisory experience in the commercial cleaning, facilities maintenance, or service industry.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support nightly janitorial staff across multiple customer locations.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure company standards are met.
- Train, coach, and develop employees.
- Respond to customer concerns and resolve issues promptly.
- Conduct routine site visits and quality control inspections.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and employee coverage.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and employee training.
- Ensure labor budgets and staffing levels are maintained.
- Perform occasional heavy cleaning and provide coverage when needed.
- Maintain communication with customers and management.
- Complete inspections and operational reports using company software.
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or management experience required.
- Janitorial or facilities maintenance experience preferred.
- Spanish speaking is preffered
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Reliable transportation and a valid California driver's license.
- Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record check (Clean Driving Record).
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and basic computer applications.
Physical Requirements
- Walk, stand, bend, stoop, and lift throughout the shift.
- Lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Work in various indoor commercial environments.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday–Friday
- Start Time: 4:00 PM
- Some weekends or after-hours availability may occasionally be required for emergencies or special projects.
