Job Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and continuously improving the day-to-day operations of R. Brooks Mechanical, including service, installation, maintenance, and internal support functions. This role plays a key part in ensuring operational efficiency, team performance, and customer satisfaction across all areas of the business.
In addition to refining current workflows and enforcing high standards for quality, the Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in helping build scalable systems and processes that support future growth. As the company continues to expand, this role may be heavily relied upon to assist with the operational integration of newly acquired “tuck-in” companies and other strategic initiatives.
This is position with both immediate operational impact and long-term strategic importance as R. Brooks Mechanical continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Combination of office and inventory warehouse work. After-hours or weekend work may be required based on project demands. Participation in On-Call Dispatch rotation.

Key Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Oversee all aspects of HVAC operations, including service, installation, and maintenance.
- Team Leadership & Development: Provide leadership and support to technicians, installers, dispatchers, and coordinators. Assist in hiring, onboarding, and developing administrative staff.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate with all major departments to align operational strategies, eliminate inefficiencies, and ensure unified execution of jobs and services across the organization.
- Customer Experience & Quality Assurance: Act as a point of contact for escalated customer issues, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Process Improvement & Compliance: Develop and refine operational procedures, creating SOP’s and ensuring consistency and efficiency.
- Inventory and Pricebook: Oversee inventory levels, purchasing, and vendor relationships. Maintain and update the company’s price book to reflect accurate costs and margin structures.
- Financial Management & Reporting: Track department performance, assist in developing budgets and forecasts, and support job costing and financial reviews.
- Marketing & Website Management: Collaborate on marketing strategies and campaign execution. Manage vendor relationships and ensure the company website is current, functional, and aligned with branding and business goals.
- Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, or related field preferred but not required.
- Experience: 5 years of HVAC operations experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Skills: Proven leadership and team-building capabilities. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency with service and project management software. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
