Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse & Purchasing Coordinator to support our growing construction and building services organization. This role is responsible for sourcing materials, equipment, subcontractors, and services necessary to support construction projects while ensuring cost-effective purchasing, timely delivery, and strong vendor relationships.
The ideal candidate will have experience in construction procurement, purchasing, vendor management, and inventory coordination. Experience with Sage Intacct is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities
· Source and procure construction materials, equipment, tools, and services.
· Solicit and evaluate vendor quotes to obtain the best value while maintaining quality standards.
· Create and manage purchase orders and track order status from placement through delivery.
· Coordinate with project managers, field personnel, and vendors to ensure materials arrive on schedule.
· Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors.
· Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and purchasing agreements.
· Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory management processes.
· Resolve purchasing, delivery, and vendor-related issues.
· Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
· Assist with budget tracking and cost-control initiatives.
· Analyze purchasing trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
· Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Required
· High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
· 2 years of procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or construction industry experience.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills.
· Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
· Experience in the construction, HVAC, controls, mechanical, electrical, or building automation industries.
· Experience with Sage Intacct or other ERP/accounting software.
· Knowledge of vendor management and inventory control practices.
· Familiarity with purchase order workflows and job-cost tracking.
