Position Overview
This role is a hands-on position that combines skilled fabrication and trade work with general warehouse responsibilities. The successful candidate will serve part of their time as a Lead Fabricator/Tradesman, with the remaining time supporting warehouse operations. As a small organization, our team members are cross-functional and contribute to a variety of tasks—no two days are the same.

Position Summary
The Fabricator/Welder/Tradesman is a versatile and skilled professional responsible for executing specialized tasks that require technical knowledge, precision, and craftsmanship. This role supports the successful completion of manufacturing projects and overall warehouse operations and involves work across multiple trades, including construction, metal fabrication, plumbing, maintenance, and related disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Task Execution: Perform assigned tasks efficiently, independently, and in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate a wide range of tools, machinery, and equipment relevant to the position.
- Technical Skills: Apply expertise in areas such as welding, metal fabrication, carpentry, plumbing, light electrical work, painting, masonry, or other skilled trades as required.
- Manufacturing Support: Assist in the manufacturing of environmental remediation systems, including tool preparation, material handling, skid fabrication, equipment placement, and installation.
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repair on equipment, machinery, and structures to ensure optimal operation.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, wear appropriate personal protective equipment, and promote a safe working environment.
- Problem Solving: Identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and recommend effective solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members, supervisors, contractors, and other stakeholders to meet project objectives.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including timesheets, job logs, equipment usage, and maintenance reports.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work meets quality standards, specifications, and industry best practices.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulations to support ongoing professional development.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Relevant vocational or technical training and/or certifications
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in fabrication and welding; experience in plumbing, electrical, or HVAC industries preferred
- Proficiency with job-related tools, equipment, and machinery
- Forklift operation proficiency
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety standards and procedures
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Flexibility to adapt to changing job requirements and work environments
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Work Environment
Approximately 95% of work is performed at our fabrication warehouse in Pineville, NC. The remaining 5% may involve on-site project work and occasional overnight travel.
Compensation and Benefits
Starting pay will be commensurate with experience and skill level.
