Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of commercial or residential spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- Operate floor buffers, polishers, and other custodial machinery to maintain high-quality floor care and buffing standards
- Handle chemical agents safely according to safety protocol procedures, ensuring proper storage and disposal
- Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of supplies or equipment while following safe lifting practices
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, common areas, and other designated spaces with attention to detail
- Follow established safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or chemical hazards
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or touch-up painting as needed
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and sanitation tools
- Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning agents
- Experience with facilities maintenance or basic repair work is a plus
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with clients or building occupants
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards
