Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of scalable, high-performance web applications and backend services.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code under the supervision of senior engineers..
- Assist in Agile development processes, including Scrum, story refinement, and sprint planning.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and technical leads to participate in the design and implementation of software solutions.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues to improve system performance and reliability, escalating as needed.
- Conduct unit testing and contribute to automated testing frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leaders, articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.
- As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent.
- 0-3 years of hands on software development experience (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience in modern web development and RESTful APIs
- Experience in relational databases such as MS SQL or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and agile development environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge in AWS cloud technologies
- Good understanding and practical experience with OAuth Standards and API Security
