The Role
We're looking for a fast, clever, and versatile YouTube Editor to turn raw footage into binge-worthy content. You’ll be working closely with our content team to bring high-energy gaming, challenge, and behind-the-scenes content to life. This is not a corporate gig—this is for someone who gets YouTube and wants to build something massive.
What You’ll Do
- Edit high-quality, short-to-mid-form YouTube videos (6–15 mins), 1–3 per week
- Cut dynamic intros, highlight big moments, and maintain rapid pacing
- Add meme-style punch-ins, sound effects, subtitles, and transitions
- Work with footage from VR gameplay, in-studio shoots, GoPro, and iPhone
- Collaborate on ideation, thumbnails, and hook delivery
- Help shape the visual tone of KJ1VR and Enver content
You Might Be a Fit If You:
- Have 2 years of YouTube editing experience (or killer work to show)
- Know what makes content viral—timing, memes, pacing, retention
- Are proficient in Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci
- Can handle raw footage and polish it fast without hand-holding
- Love gaming, creator content, and fast-cut storytelling
- Are based in NYC & willing to be on-site occasionally
Bonus Points:
- Experience editing like creators (MrBeast, Airrack, etc.)
- Understanding of VR, Gen Z humor, and gaming culture
- Motion graphics or thumbnail design skills
