What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technician I position at Envent Corporation?
SUMMARY
Under direct supervision, the Technician I sets up and operates environmental equipment under
proper work permits across multiple service lines in a safe and efficient manner on client’s job site.
The Technician I will also performs other activities and tasks as needed in accordance with
company policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Essential duties may vary
according to region, division, area, and/or assignment. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Drive to customer sites, set up and operate environmental equipment under proper work
permits.
2. Take environmental readings frequently with the use of multiple types of environmental
monitoring meters.
3. Ensure environmental meters are calibrated and bump tested in accordance with
established procedures.
4. Perform preventative maintenance on various equipment, as well as improve aesthetics
on vehicles and equipment on the field and at the shop.
5. Perform valve manipulation as well as moving of hoses, fittings, and various other items.
6. Report to the assigned Supervisor and provide status report.
7. Actively participate in all hands meetings, JSS SCAN procedures, and all safety
communications by asking/answering questions and providing lessons learned and
experiences.
8. Be able to operate and drive all vehicles within the scope of licensing, within Envent Fleet
and logging appropriately in the Electronic Logging Device (Samsara).
9. Carry out all assigned daily work.
10. Complete all required timesheets, log sheets and customer work permits as required by the
task at hand timely and accurately.
11. Review and understand the selection of proper equipment for the task at hand.
12. Know where to find and how to follow all operating procedures.
13. Know where to find and how to follow all environmental permits and regulations.
14. Maintain jobsite and yard housekeeping in a clean and orderly manner.
15. Unload project equipment in appropriate designated shop area.
16. Comply with all company policies and procedures.
17. Utilize latest approved procedures for all operations.
18. Learn the regulatory requirements impacting both Envent and Envent’s customer.
19. Become knowledgeable in all company equipment and the uses for each.
20. Follow up with the assigned Supervisor and ensure you are doing the job correctly.
21. Report all safety infractions or near misses, using the Stop Work Authority if you feel
unsafe. Stop work on yourself as necessary if not sure with the task you are assigned.
22. Report all accidents, incidents (no matter how minor), and citations immediately to the
assigned supervisor.
23. Communicate effectively to assigned Supervisor, dispatcher and/or safety representative.
24. Be responsive at all times to assigned supervisor and dispatcher. This may require
answering the telephone during off hours, weekends and holidays.
25. Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, company policies, customer policies and an
unwavering commitment to safety.
26. Work toward successful completion of Short Service Employee program.
27. Learn how to use the electronic platforms required to operate and log data.
28. Complete Training Certifications on designated equipment within assigned timeframe.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
The Technician I position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Industry experience will be
considered in lieu of formal education. This position requires the ability to understand basic math
skills, read and interpret technical documents, read and understand procedures, perform all
assigned duties and follow all safety procedures and requirements.

12. Must be proficient in the care and use of all site specific, facility and customer required
Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). The candidate must be able to pass all site specific
facility, company and industry tests.
13. Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
14. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or
diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

21. The Technician I position will require travel and being away overnight up to 20% to 70%
percent of the time. You will be required to travel by vehicle or airline to meet and work
with customers.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
The Technician I must have a current valid driver license from state of residency and valid proof of
insurance. The candidate must be insurable by the Envent Corporation insurance provider. The
candidate must have a valid TWIC card or, at minimum, be eligible to get a TWIC card, HASC, RSO
or comparable refinery area training card. The candidate must be able to pass the company’s
employee physical and comply with the company’s drug testing policy.

This job will require a mixture of primarily field and shop work and limited office work. While

WORK ENVIRONMENT

in the work environment is moderate but can be loud when working in the field.
Work environment is primarily field work. The Technician I will be exposed to various outdoor
weather conditions. He or she will be in industrial plants which will expose them to potentially
hazardous situations. He or she must have all necessary PPE and be prepared to use it as the
situation dictates. The Technician I can be subjected to extreme heights and moving mechanical
parts. Travel is required 20-70% depending on job needs and geographic location.
