Systems Design Engineering Intern - Summer 2026

As a Low-voltage Systems Design Engineering Intern, you'll help design solutions to meet the unique needs of our customers across technologies such as audio visual, security, and fire suppression systems. You'll gain exposure to solution design, proposal development, and field work while developing technical and professional skills.

This paid internship is located in Indianapolis, IN with flexible start and end dates from May to August 2026. Interns must be available to work up to 40 hours per week, for at least 10 weeks.

What We're Looking For

• Current junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering design, electrical engineering, or related technical program.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.


• A growth mindset dedicated to continuous learning and improvement.


• Preference will be given to local candidates; no relocation or housing stipend is available for this position.


• Must possess US work authorization and not require sponsorship for an employment visa by Envelop Group at any time in the future.


• Willingness to travel to customer job sites, which may involve outdoor work and environments such as mechanical or equipment rooms. Site visits may expose the employee to varying weather conditions, moving machinery, heights, and other environmental factors.
