POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Specialist is responsible for efficient operations through oversight and coordination of work tasks throughout different administrative tasks; additionally ensuring quality standards for are maintained. The Quality Specialist will be responsible for ensuring tasks below are completed accurately, efficiently, thoroughly, and methodically to ensure quality standards are upheld.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Ensure label packets are prepared for production schedule accordingly

Ensure label print plates are inspected and approved to standard

Completes record review, tracking and filing according to GDP standards

Maintains administrated files, records and databases where necessary

Assists with data gathering and packet generation for line startups/conversions as required

Able to execute basic transactions in SAP

Assists with internal and external audits as necessary

Strong organizational and time management skills

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

May assist with some testing processes as necessary

Works with cross department teams to resolve quality issues and ensure compliance with industry standards

Communicates all pertinent information between departments and between shifts as needed

Communicate with the Quality management on all quality opportunities and findings

Follow all site safety policies, company policies and procedures work safely and wear appropriate PPE

Follow practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company quality standards
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
-
Required – High School Diploma, GED or equivalent; Prefer Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Quality Technology, Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field or two-year technical degree or equivalent

Prefer – 2 years’ experience in document control systems and quality management principles

Knowledge of quality assurance principles, methods, and processes

Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 9001, BRCGS) is preferred.
GENERAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
-
Strong organizational skills and proven ability to maintain accurate, detailed records that will be audited periodically

Ability to work on multiple projects at once with tight deadlines

Must be able to identify and execute improvement opportunities through both process improvements and system improvements

Ability to work with employees from many different cultures and backgrounds
-
Preference will be given to qualified local candidates
SOFTWARE/COMPUTER SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

General knowledge of basic hardware and software and uses of a variety of different computer operating systems such as Microsoft Office Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Google Workspace, and web-site software

Mid Level SAP or Quality Management System experience, preferred

Occasionally works in all weather conditions, extreme temperatures, around chemicals and chemical fumes/emissions, dusty & clean environments. Continuous use of vision, hearing and speech. Frequent sitting, standing, walking and occasional bending. Will lift, carry, pull / push, and reach for supplies and on occasion lifting (up to 50 lbs.) while performing various aspects of the job; Will need to climb stairs, climb ladders, lift and move objects, requires manual dexterity and repetitive use of keyboard/computer; Must wear safety equipment, such as earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes when engaging in manufacturing floor tasks.
HOURS / SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
8 hour shifts, Monday - Friday; Present to fulfill job duties & meet operational demands/support; Schedule may vary depending on plant operational needs thus flexibility is required which may include long days, evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime; Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position
