Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Patient Transport Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation services for patients within healthcare facilities or between locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a commitment to safety and comfort. This role involves operating handicapped accessible vehicles, to ensure timely patient movement while maintaining high standards of care and professionalism.
Duties
Must be between the ages of 23-70 for vehicle insurance purposes.
- Safely vehicles to transport patients to and from appointments, hospitals, or care facilities.
- Assist patients with boarding and exiting vehicles, providing support as needed for those with mobility challenges.
- Ensure all transportation activities comply with traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure vehicle safety and cleanliness.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and any incidents during transport.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, to coordinate transportation schedules and address any special needs.
- Handle lifting when necessary to assist patients or move patients belongings safely.
- Provide excellent customer service by demonstrating professionalism, compassion, and clear communication throughout each trip.
Skills
- Proven experience in safely operating a motor vehicle.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and team members.
- Ability to perform lifting safely when assisting patients or handling patient belongings.
- Experience in paratransit services or healthcare transportation is a plus.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and adherence to traffic laws.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
