Senior Design Engineer - Gas Utilities

In this role, you will be at the forefront of natural gas distribution and transmission design, supporting critical projects that serve communities while ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety requirements.

Responsibilities:
In this role, you will work closely with internal engineering teams and external partners to design and support natural gas distribution and transmission projects from concept through execution. Your responsibilities include developing facility layouts, designing measurement and regulation systems, performing engineering calculations, and ensuring designs meet applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements. You will provide technical guidance during project planning and execution while contributing expertise across a wide range of gas infrastructure initiatives. This position offers remote flexibility and requires availability for occasional site visits and in‑person meetings, with candidates based in the Cincinnati area.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, or petroleum engineering from an accredited institution.
• 3–6 years of relevant experience supporting natural gas utility projects.
• Ability to travel for occasional project site visits and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in pipeline and/or facility design.
• Familiarity with measurement and regulation systems.
• Registration as an Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE).
