What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development & Sales Lead, USA position at Entro?
Business Development & Sales Lead, USA
Position Overview: The Business Development & Sales Lead, USA is a key growth role responsible for driving new business and revenue across the United States. Working from our New York office and closely with Entro’s Chief Growth Officer, General Managers, and Creative Leadership, this person will build the relationships, pipeline, and momentum that expand Entro’s footprint in priority US markets.
This is a senior, client-facing role for a proactive relationship builder and closer, someone who thrives on consultative selling within the design and built-environment industry, and who can carry an opportunity from first conversation through to signed contract. Success in this role directly shapes Entro’s growth story in the US.
Key Responsibilities
Win New Business & Grow the Market
- Proactively identify, pursue, and close new opportunities across Entro’s target US markets and sectors, building a strong pipeline through your network, referrals, outbound prospecting, industry relationships, events, and strategic partnerships.
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers - developers, architects, owners, institutions, agencies, and consultants and lead conversations from first outreach through qualification, pursuit, and close.
- Expand Entro’s presence in priority US markets, starting with the sectors and geographies in our growth strategy, and spot emerging opportunities as they arise.
- Build market-specific sales plans and target account lists, and keep an eye on competitors, project activity, and industry trends.
Build Client Relationships & Industry Presence
- Develop senior-level relationships and position Entro as a trusted advisor, not just a service provider sustaining those relationships through long sales cycles and between active projects.
- Grow existing accounts into new projects, services, sectors, and geographies, and cultivate referral and partnership relationships with architecture firms, developers, consultants, and complementary organizations.
- Represent Entro at conferences, industry events, and client functions, building a visible professional network and identifying speaking, sponsorship, and partnership opportunities.
- Bring market intelligence and client feedback back into the organization.
Lead Pursuits, Proposals & Pipeline
- Qualify opportunities on strategic fit, revenue potential, probability, and available resources.
- Partner with creative, leadership, and BD teams to shape pursuit strategy, positioning, and presentations; lead or support pitch meetings and participate in fee and commercial discussions with leadership.
- Drive opportunities toward clear decisions and successful contract awards.
- Keep opportunity information accurate and current in Deltek Vantagepoint, track pipeline value and stage, and provide regular, reliable sales forecasts with disciplined follow-up.
Collaborate Internally
- Partner closely with the Chief Growth Officer, General Managers, Creative leadership, and the BD team, connecting the right Entro experts to opportunities at the right moment.
- Support a coordinated approach to major pursuits across offices, and ensure a smooth handoff of won work into delivery.
