Amarr, a part of ASSA ABLOY – the global leader in opening solutions, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Human Resources Manager to support our manufacturing operations in Lawrence and Shawnee, KS. In this key leadership role, you will act as a trusted business partner to plant leadership, aligning HR strategies with operational goals while fostering a high-performance, people-focused culture.
You will lead all aspects of plant HR operations, serve as an advisor on complex employee matters, and champion a positive, compliant, and engaging workplace for our team members.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a strategic HR partner to Plant Managers and leadership teams, providing guidance on talent and workforce matters
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of HR professionals to deliver best-in-class HR support
- Oversee all local HR functions including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and benefits
- Interpret and ensure compliance with employment laws, policies, and procedures
- Drive HR programs focused on engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness
- Lead employee relations investigations, recommend resolutions, and support corrective actions
- Promote a positive and inclusive culture through engagement initiatives and employee events
- Partner with internal teams to align HR strategies and support business objectives
- Monitor workforce trends and support competitive compensation strategies
- Identify training needs and support development programs, including compliance training
- Manage HR reporting, KPIs, and process improvement initiatives
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8 years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience
- Strong experience across HR functions including employee relations, talent acquisition, and compliance
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, etc.)
- Proven leadership and ability to influence at all levels of the organization
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or fast-paced environments
- Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement experience
- Advanced proficiency in HRIS systems, payroll platforms, Excel, and SharePoint
