EPS Press Operator

We are seeking an experienced Press Operator to join our team! The Press Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality operation of the production line focused on manufacturing raised panel components (such as door panels involving pans, stiles, rails, and stamps).

 Shift: Fri, Sat, & Sun: 7am - 7:30pm with 4 hours of comp time
 
What You’ll Do
 

1. Setting up and operating raised panel presses and basic troubleshooting of equipment.
2. Completing accurate production documentation, transaction reports and work order reports.
3. Setting the pace of the line to meet production and efficiency goals, identifying and communicating barriers to leadership.
4. Guide and direct press helpers for the safe and efficient operation on the line.
5. Must be able to coordinate the press run with upstream and downstream operations.
6. Maintaining inventory accuracy through proficient use of the Navigator system, including completing required training, entering transactions timely, understanding roll former tags, and counting/measuring pans and consumed parts.
7. Performing quality checks on materials and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
8. Ensure the working area is safe, clean and organized.
9. Perform any other duties or special projects as assigned. 

Position Requirements:

1. Ability to accurately follow verbal and written instructions.
2. Basic math skills with the ability to read a tape measure.
3. Basic computer skills.
4. Knowledge to set up and operate various equipment to produce the different panels.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Ability to work overtime when needed.

Other Job Responsibilities and Physical Requirements:

1. Standing / Walking
   1. This position requires standing and walking throughout the entire shift while working on the production floor.
2. Bending
   1. Frequent bending is required to perform tasks such as moving carts, handling & setting materials, and completing other job-related activities.
3. Lifting / Carrying
   1. The job requires frequent lifting and stacking of banded door panels to various levels.  Maximum required individual lifting limit is 45lbs and 50 lbs for team lift. 
   2. Frequency of lifting and carrying varies based on assigned tasks.
4. Pushing / Pulling
   1. Pushing of carts is often required with occasional pulling; A force of 50lbs is required to move a loaded cart; Pushing over 50 lbs. requires two people.
5. Manual Dexterity
   
   1. Must be able to grip small objects to cut rubber and maneuver hands/wrists in consistent repetitive motion.
