Job Description:
Entheos Academy is a K-8 Service Learning charter school with campuses located in Kearns and Magna, Utah. This posting is for our MAGNA site. Entheos Academy is seeking a part time, Special Education paraprofessional. Job duties include:
- Working under the direct supervision of the teacher to assist students with classroom activities.
- Providing assistance with individualized programmed materials.
- Assisting the teacher in observing, recording, and charting behavior.
- Carrying out instructional programs designed by the teacher.
- Providing special help to students in core subjects.
- Reinforcing learning with one on one or small group instruction.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- An associate’s degree, or willingness to demonstrate competency through a state-approved assessment (Praxis or equivalent).
- Knowledge of/ willingness to learn instructional strategies and interventions for students with disabilities.
- Strong English reading, writing, speaking, and math skills.
- Basic proficiency in educational technology, including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
- Spanish or additional language proficiency is considered a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with Special Education teams, general education teachers, and families.
- Commitment to supporting students with disabilities and promoting inclusive, equitable learning environments.
Essential Functions
- Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.
- Sit, stand, walk, kneel, and move quickly when needed for student safety.
- Lift up to 25 lbs. and perform light physical tasks.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying climate conditions.
- Communicate clearly in spoken and written English.
- Adequate vision and hearing to perform all job duties safely.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.25 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 29 per week
