The Project Controls Specialist 3 is responsible for overseeing contractor payment applications, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. They manage project control data, prepare construction schedules, and conduct value engineering studies, while also supporting project managers in maintaining budgets and schedules.
Essential Functions
- Oversee review and approval of contractor payment applications
- Manage and reconcile project control data for accuracy
- Prepare construction schedules and cost estimates
- Conduct value engineering studies for complex projects
- Provide comprehensive cost management services, including budgeting and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with financial practices and reporting standards
- Support project managers in executing project controls processes
- Track project performance and ensure timely completion
- Identify and assess project risks, developing mitigation strategies
- Maintain safety and compliance throughout project execution
- Generate detailed financial and project status reports for stakeholders
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure project alignment and success
- Work closely with Project Managers, Program Managers, and Senior Project Control Specialists
- Facilitate communication between contractors, consultants, and internal teams
- Ensure alignment of project goals with organizational objectives
- Identify best practices in project controls and implement improvements
- Develop new processes and procedures for enhanced project control efficiency
- Train and mentor junior staff on project control methodologies
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of project budgets and financial forecasts
- Monitor expenditures and provide insights for cost-saving opportunities
- Maintain compliance with established cost management practices
- Act as a liaison between project teams and stakeholders
- Address concerns and provide updates on project status and financial health
- Foster strong relationships to support project success and collaboration
Required Qualification:- Years of Experience/Education/Certificates/Training:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business Administration or related fields.
- Seven (7) to Ten (10) years of related full-time paid experience.
- Starting Salary range for this job is $162,782.00 - $187,200.00. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment

Salary : $162,782 - $187,200
