What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adult Education Outreach and Engagement Coordinator position at Enterprise State Community College?
Position Summary
Under the oversight of the Executive Director of Adult Education & Workforce Strategies, the employee supports the recruitment, enrollment, engagement, retention, and educational success of adult learners through coordinated outreach activities, community and campus events, instructional support initiatives, and partnerships. The position plans and implements activities designed to increase awareness of Adult Education services, connect prospective students to educational and workforce pathways, strengthen student engagement, and support instructional programming.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and implement Adult Education recruitment, outreach, student engagement, family literacy, career awareness, and community education events throughout the service area.
- Assist in representing Adult Education at community events, career fairs, college events, employer outreach activities, school events, resource fairs, and other recruitment opportunities.
- Coordinate Adult Education open houses, enrollment events, information sessions, student recognition activities, workshops, career exploration events, and special program initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with Adult Education instructional staff to develop events and activities that reinforce academic instruction, digital literacy, workforce preparation, career exploration, financial literacy, family literacy, and other educational objectives.
- Provide instructional support for Adult Education students through coordinating workshops, small-group activities, learning labs, orientation activities, career-readiness activities, and other supplemental educational programming, as appropriate.
- Assist with community announcements, social media content, student success stories, and event promotion.
- Promote Adult Education career pathways, Integrated Education and Training programs, workforce credentials, college transition opportunities, and other educational options available to students.
- Maintain records of outreach activities, events, participant contacts, referrals, recruitment efforts, and other information needed to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment and engagement strategies.
- Assist with evaluating event participation, recruitment outcomes, student engagement, and other program data to identify successful strategies and opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in professional development and staff activities related to Adult Education instruction, recruitment, student engagement, workforce development, and program improvement.
- Perform other duties related to Adult Education recruitment, outreach, instructional support, student engagement, and program operations as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, educational content area, social work, human services, management, or related field from an accredited institution, required.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours to include evenings as needed, required.

Hourly Rate: $30.00 (19 hours or less per week with NO BENEFITS)
