The ideal candidate for the Loan Control Analyst will have the skills and experience necessary to:
* Be responsible for interpreting and reviewing loans to determine compliance with company credit policy and lending standard operating procedures.
* Make decisions and recommendations for approvals of loan under either bank or lending standards based on reviews.
* Review and screen loan files for compliance and problems.
* Prepare and analyze loan packages with respect to program guidelines and performs applicable due diligence to assure compliance.
* Recommend procedures to maintain quality control aspects of lending practices.
* Monitor and follow up on collateral documentation.
* Review files subject to audits and remediate exceptions prior to audits.
* Track and maintain audit exception reports.
* Perform post-closing audit and review of loan files to assure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
* Requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or a related field and 2 years of experience with lending, familiarity with credit/compliance policies and procedures, loan analysis or other directly related experience.
* Banking or Finance experience a plus.
* Employs advanced knowledge as a generalist or specialist of lending, loan documentation, credit policies, lending regulations, requirements and audit/review procedures.
* Must have strong analysis, problem resolution and auditing skills.
* Requires excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to work with lending staff to resolve review issues.
* Exceptional communication and customer relations skills.
* Knowledge of PC software to include Microsoft Office or similar software.
* May lead or train other analysts.
