Enterprise security encompasses both physical security and cybersecurity to provide a comprehensive and layered defense strategy. Physical security is the first line of defense, focusing on the protection of an organization's tangible assets, facilities, and personnel. This involves measures like access control, surveillance systems, and security personnel to safeguard against physical threats, theft, or unauthorized access.
Position Summary
We are seeking professional, reliable Unarmed Security Guards to join our growing team. In this role, you will safeguard client facilities, protect personnel and property, and help maintain a safe and orderly environment. This includes supporting parking operations, controlling site access, and providing excellent customer service to visitors and guests.
NOTE: Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to safely operate vehicles within the client's parking facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control access points
- Perform routine patrols and maintain a visible security presence
- Assist guests in parking their vehicles and direct traffic flow
- Move guest vehicles to alternate spots when required to manage parking space
- Maintain order and ensure compliance with safety protocols
- Support customers through ushering and guest direction
- Respond to emergencies and assist with evacuation procedures as needed
- Maintain a professional appearance and deliver courteous interactions with attendees
Qualifications
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Virginia Security Guard Certification
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
- Prior experience in security, loss prevention, or law enforcement is preferred
- Relevant security or law enforcement certifications are a plus
- Must pass a criminal background check in accordance with Virginia Police guidelines
- Basic first aid and CPR certification preferred (not required)
- Excellent communication, situational awareness, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
Uniform & Equipment
- Should be able to purchase Class A Black uniform.
- Radios or communication equipment may be issued.
Work Conditions
- Shifts include morning, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Both indoor and outdoor assignments.
- Must respond within 2-4 hours of notice (for emergency staffing).
Pay Rate
If you have prior experience in security, a valid security license, and a valid driver's license, we can offer up to $18 per hour.
