Job Description
Position Summary
The Surgical Technologist is responsible for preparing the operating room and sterile field for surgical procedures by ensuring that surgical equipment is functioning properly and safely; by preparing sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment using sterile technique; anticipating the needs of the surgical team based on knowledge of human anatomy and pathophysiology and how they relate to the surgical patient and the patient’s procedure.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Must have experience in Ortho/Spine.
- Graduate of a program for surgical technology required.
- 1-3 years’ experience in surgical setting required.
- National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), Certified Operating Room Technician (CORT), or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
