Enterprise for Equity is Hiring: Part-time Bookkeeper
We are looking for someone to fill a 10-hour/week position. This person will ideally be inspired by
Enterprise for Equity’s mission and believe in the power of entrepreneurship to strengthen our whole community and our local economy. The applicant will possess the skills to handle our bookkeeping
(QuickBooks) tasks along with our loan management software (which we will train the new staff person on). This person will work with our accountant on a regular basis. This person must possess a positive attitude, excellent written and verbal communication skills, be well-organized, flexible, and relate well to staff and the people we serve.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping (QuickBooks online) with assistance from our accountant;;
- Invoicing; (AR/AP)
- Understand our programs, grants, and regular expenses;
- Running monthly payroll and managing payroll taxes;
- Provide reports (P&Ls, Balance Sheets, Payroll, etc.) to lead staff;
- Assist with budget creation for the agency, our loan program, and specific programs;
- Create, monitor and document reimbursement requests;
- Managing the loan software and program activity including reporting to necessary agencies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven bookkeeping skills using QuickBooks online;
- Responsible, professional, mature, and trustworthy;
- Proven excellent written and verbal communications;
- Ability to handle deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work independently as well as collaboratively;
- Strong PC skills, especially using MS Office Suite products, Google Workspace and Adobe;
- Hardworking, productive, dedicated, and have high level of integrity;
- Handle confidential information with discretion;
- Possess excellent relationship-building skills;
- Have a strong alignment with values and actions toward diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Details:
10 hours per week (required 90 day evaluation period). In-office (Olympia hours required but some work can be done remotely). There is some flexibility as to when the 10 hours are scheduled.
Compensation: $11,960 to $13,000 DOE
