Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Analyst (QA) to join our testing team. This role is ideal for Entry Level Candidates on OPT who are eager to start their career in software quality assurance and testing.
Responsibilities:
- Understand business and functional requirements
- Execute manual test cases and report defects
- Assist in creating test scenarios, test cases, and test data
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing
- Log and track defects using tools like JIRA
- Work closely with developers and senior QA team members
- Participate in daily stand-ups and Agile ceremonies
- Ensure software meets quality standards before release
Required Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
- Understanding of manual testing concepts
- Knowledge of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodology
- Basic SQL queries for data validation
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools (JIRA preferred)
- Good analytical and communication skills
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to automation tools (Selenium, Test NG, Cypress basic level)
- Knowledge of Java or Python
- API testing basics (Postman)
Education:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
