What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Proposal Specialist position at Enterprise Automation, A Tetra Tech Company?
Who are you?
You are a driven leader who owns outcomes end-to-end and expects more than “good enough.” You lead with integrity, determined to win, but always ethically. Details matter to you, you are beyond curious and obsess over the small things that make deals happen. You thrive under deadlines, take clear ownership of projects and people, and relish coaching and leading a team to deliver results.
You are not a solo performer, you excel as a collaborative partner to the sales organization, supporting the sales team to close business and remove obstacles. You combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution and hold teams accountable while enabling them to succeed.
What is the role?
We’re seeking an experienced Sales Enablement Specialist to drive the end-to-end development of high-quality, compliant proposals and sales materials in response to public RFPs/RFQs. This role combines strong writing and editing skills, creative visual communication, and program management to deliver compelling submissions on time. You’ll partner closely with the sales teams to translate strategy into winning proposal content, lead deck development for interviews, and maintain a reusable content library that accelerates future pursuits. This is a doer, support role.
Key responsibilities
- Lead proposal development lifecycle and content generation for public RFP/RFQ solicitations leveraging Adobe tools (InDesign, Acrobat) and MS Office Suite
- Identify, develop, and incorporate win themes, technical concepts, and market strategies into proposals
- Manage timelines, compliance, formatting, and submission logistics
- Infographics & Visuals: Translate complex data, strategies, and narratives into simple, clean, and digestible visuals.
- Presentations: lead the development and coordination of slide deck presentations to support RFP or RFQ interviews
- Provide written proposals largely free of major defects on time
- Develop and maintain database of reusable content to be used in sales proposals and other endeavors
- Maintain positive and productive relationships with all EA staff
- Create sales-related marketing materials under the direction of the marketing department
What do you get?
This role offers a competitive salary with commission, so your compensation is tied to the impact you deliver, plus the opportunity to participate in an Employee Stock Purchase Plan to invest in the company’s growth. You’ll do meaningful, high‑impact work you can be proud of while collaborating day-to-day with a high‑functioning team that values accountability and mutual support. Regular in‑office interaction provides face‑to‑face mentoring, faster decision‑making, and stronger team relationships. Additional standard benefits — including health insurance, retirement savings, paid time off, and professional development — are available; please ask your recruiter for full details.
What do you need to bring?
You must have at least 1–2 years of practical use hands‑on Adobe InDesign experience. Preferably, you also bring 1–2 years of experience responding to municipal RFPs/RFQs. Consulting experience is a strong plus, and exposure to or experience with system integration work is highly desirable. Candidates who combine solid InDesign skills with municipal procurement familiarity and consulting or systems-integration exposure will be best positioned for success in this role.
