Job Summary/Purpose

Conducts training for licensed, non-licensed operators, and shift technical advisors in reactor operations covering replacement, requalification, upgrade, etc., consistent with NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission) requirements. Develops and maintains operations training programs.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Administers training programs to ensure the availability of qualified and licensed personnel.
  • Interfaces with line personnel to analyze performance needs and recommend appropriate training solutions.
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates training materials and programs using the systematic approach to training.
  • Administers and coordinates training programs for sites and corporate groups as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required for the position

  • 5 years of nuclear plant experience (commercial or military) or a B.S. Degree in Education, Engineering, or related technical degree or equivalent experience.

Minimum Experience Required For The Position

  • At least five years of experience in the associated line organization.
    • Desired: 3 years previously licensed as BWR SRO.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required For The Position

  • Technical proficiency in the assigned area. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Any Certificates, Licenses, Etc. Required For The Position

  • Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license or certification on BWR, PWR or both.
