Senior Supplier Quality EngineerSummary
Responsible for supplier quality assurance activities related to supplied product. Develops and executes supplier quality plans, conducts supplier audits, performs root cause analysis, implements corrective actions, and supports compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute supplier quality plans.
- Perform supplier audits.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for non-conformances.
- Support compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement of supplier processes and supplier performance metrics.
- Provide technical reporting and quality-related information to leadership.
- Perform floor support functions and make quality decisions.
- Support supplier quality assurance activities for supplied products.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced knowledge of quality systems.
- Experience with problem-solving, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis tools.
- Experience performing floor support functions and making quality decisions.
- Experience presenting and communicating technical information.
- Experience working with supplied product and supplier quality assurance activities.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Experience using inspection and measurement tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work with and around explosives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Supplier audit experience.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with CAPA.
- Experience with FMEA.
- Experience with SPC.
- Experience with supplier performance management.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or missile systems manufacturing environments.
