Are you a strategic financial leader with a heart for community and stewardship? Entech Staffing Solutions is seeking a Director of Finance and Operations to serve as a senior-level executive in the Bloomfield area. In this pivotal role, you will provide the vision and leadership necessary to manage our client's properties, oversee financial reporting, and ensure the organization meets both its immediate and long-term objectives.
The Role
The Director of Finance and Operations provides comprehensive management of assets and fiscal health. You will supervise the maintenance staff, lead the accounting office, and act as a primary advisor to the Rector and Treasurer.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
Analysis & Reporting: Monitor and analyze operating budgets, endowment funds, and audits. Ensure a timely monthly close and provide comprehensive reports for the Rector and Treasurer.
Oversight: Review monthly financial reports and Vestry presentation packages.
Internal Controls: Supervise the accounting team and clerk, ensuring rigorous internal controls and integrity within the financial system.
Strategic Finance: Manage the annual budget process, support Capital Campaigns, and serve as the lead contact for banking and trust relationships.
Compliance: Manage the annual audit process and prepare the annual parochial report.
Facilities Management
Operations: Oversee the management of facilities and grounds, supervising the Director of Maintenance.
Capital Projects: Lead major capital projects and work with facilities staff to develop long-term asset replacement plans.
Safety & Risk: Ensure robust safety programs are in place to protect staff, parishioners, and physical assets.
Vendor Relations: Manage all vendor contracts, including the relationship with True North, and attend monthly Buildings and Grounds Committee meetings.
Human Resources & Administration
HR Support: Assist clergy and lay leaders with onboarding, employment contracts, and working with the Diocese to administer benefit programs.
Insurance & Legal: Manage insurance carrier relationships, process claims, and coordinate with legal counsel when necessary.
Specialized Program Support
Little Lambs Preschool: Assist the Preschool Director with facility standards, employment practices, annual budgeting, and monthly financial reporting.
Grants Administration: Provide financial management, budget preparation, and strategic support for all church-managed grant programs.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting required. CPA preferred.
Experience: * Minimum 10 years of accounting experience (Non-Profit sector preferred).
35 years in a leadership or management role.
Technical Proficiency: Expert knowledge of GAAP. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, and Windows. Experience with ACS or similar donor-tracking software is a plus.
Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff and parishioners.
Aptitude: Demonstrated ability to learn and integrate new technology; expert organizational and problem-solving skills.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: Commensurate with experience $80000.00-100000.00
