Description
Join an industry leader as the Plant Manager producing Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) and as the senior onsite leader responsible for the safe, efficient, and profitable operation of the RNG facility. This role provides both technical and operational direction to the plant team while maintaining strong relationships with regulatory agencies, and customers. The Plant Manager is accountable for achieving key performance metrics, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of RNG plant operations, including daily management of the facility and team performance
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all plant data tracking, logs, and monthly operational reports
- Maintain full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations as well as all applicable permits
- Champion safety culture by delivering required safety training and enforcing all safety protocols and procedures
- Monitor employee performance, attendance, timekeeping, and overtime
- Collaborate closely with landfill operations to optimize gas collection while meeting regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain effective communication protocols with landfill staff and other key stakeholders
- Conduct regular operations and safety meetings
- Drive plant performance to maximize output while controlling costs and optimizing efficiency
- Assist in budget development and management, ensuring adherence to financial targets
- Oversee routine and preventive maintenance of all plant equipment, including compressors, gas processing systems, instrumentation, and auxiliary equipment
- Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, and root-cause analysis
- Schedule daily activities, delegate tasks, and ensure high-quality execution by the team
- Coordinate and supervise third-party contractors and service providers onsite
- Interface effectively with internal support teams (Technical Services, HSE, Commercial, and global control center)
- Uphold exceptional standards for housekeeping, maintenance, and site appearance
- Promote a positive, professional, and collaborative work environment
Qualifications
- Technical degree or minimum 5 years of progressive experience in operations
- Prior supervisory or management experience in oil & gas, energy, landfill gas, or RNG operations (strongly preferred)
- Demonstrated success in managing plant budgets, maintenance schedules, and personnel
- Strong working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Experience with environmental compliance and permitting processes
- Solid understanding of basic chemistry, process control systems, and gas processing equipment
- Proficient computer skills with experience using plant monitoring and control systems
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- Proven leadership and team development skills
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure while maintaining professionalism
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously in a multi-skilled environment

Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive salary up to $130K/yr base depending on qualifications. Individual & Company performance bonus up to 10%. Benefits include a full health package with vision, dental, disability, and life; with generous company contributions
