Senior Construction Project Manager

About the Opportunity
A growing commercial general contractor in the Frisco, Texas area is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager. The company specializes in commercial construction, renovations, tenant improvements, interior and exterior construction, office, retail, medical, light industrial, hospitality, automotive, recreational, religious, and other commercial/institutional projects.
Position Overview
The Senior Construction Project Manager will oversee commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final completion while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction handoff through final completion and closeout.
- Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, procurement, change management, and owner communication.
- Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, contracts, subcontracts, proposals, and project documents.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, cost reports, change order logs, submittal logs, RFI logs, and closeout documentation.
- Coordinate with Superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, owners, inspectors, and internal leadership.
- Oversee subcontractor buyout, scope review, contract negotiation, and vendor coordination.
- Manage project financials, including cost tracking, forecasting, billing, pay applications, change orders, and profitability.
- Identify project risks early and develop solutions to prevent schedule delays, budget overruns, quality issues, or client dissatisfaction.
- Ensure projects meet company standards for safety, quality, documentation, communication, and client service.
- Lead regular project meetings and provide updates to clients, field teams, subcontractors, and company leadership.
- Support preconstruction efforts, including estimating input, constructability reviews, subcontractor pricing, scheduling, and value engineering.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, architects, engineers, vendors, and local market partners.
- Mentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and project support staff as the team grows.
- Represent the company professionally and help strengthen its reputation throughout the Frisco and greater DFW commercial construction market.
