AUDIOLOGIST JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary
Responsible for providing diagnostic services by assessing and treating hearing and communication disorders.
Qualifications
· Master's or Doctorate of Audiology degree (Au.D.)
· Must possess an audiology license or be willing to obtain for Ohio.
· Must be able to communicate well with patients, show compassion and patience, and display critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Examine and assess patients with ear problems, diagnosing the root of the problems.
· Determine and administer the treatment most likely to address and correct the problem
· Counsel patients in dealing with their hearing difficulties
· Fit patients with hearing aids and instruct them in the operation of the devices
· Consult with the referring physician on the patient's treatment plan
· Dispensing of hearing aids
· Provides auditory evaluations by measuring noise conditions, conducting hearing protection, and
hearing loss screening programs
· Maintains HIPAA Compliance
· Adheres to all department/facility policies
· Other duties as assigned
