This is a full-time Medical Assistant position with opportunity to grow into a Medical Scribe position within the company. As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. Must be a team player and be willing to be cross-trained.
Responsibilities
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Prepping exam rooms for clinical procedures and assisting practitioners with patient care
- Monitoring and documenting patient symptoms for physicians' review during clinical exams
- Set up CT scans
- Preparing and administering injections under the direction of supervising physicians
- Preparing basic laboratory tests
- Performing audiogram testing
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and exam rooms with appropriate supplies
- Autoclaving instruments
- Basic telephone calls
Skills/Qualifications
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to communicate effectively
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited medical assistance certification program required
- BLS/CPR Certified
- Bilingual (Spanish preferred)

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
