Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Audiologist based in Birmingham, AL. The Audiologist will evaluate and diagnose hearing and balance disorders, fit and program hearing aids, perform hearing tests, and provide treatment options to patients. Responsibilities include counseling patients on hearing health, recommending appropriate hearing solutions, working collaboratively with physicians, maintaining accurate patient records, and staying updated on advancements in audiology treatments and technologies.
Qualifications
- Experience in audiologic evaluation, diagnostic testing, VNG calorics, and hearing aid fittings
- Strong patient counseling, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in record-keeping and the use of clinical audiology equipment
- Knowledge of hearing health education, hearing loss treatment, and rehabilitation strategies
- Commitment to continued professional development and staying current with emerging audiology trends
- An active and valid Audiology license in the state of Alabama
- Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree or related qualifications
- Relevant clinical experience and experience in ENT or medical settings are a plus
