ENT and Allergy Associates, New York & New Jersey's premier ENT and Allergy medical practice, is seeking a self-motivated, people-friendly full time Insurance Verification Specialist for our Central Mixing Facility located at our Parsippany office.
Summary
The purpose of this position is to ensure that patients' healthcare benefits cover allergy immunotherapy and procedures.
Essential responsibilities Include but are not limited to the following:
- Contact insurance companies to verify coverage levels
- Work with patients to educate them on their benefits information.
- Explain to patients why some services are covered and some are not.
- Help patients understand deductibles, co-insurance and copays
- Enter data in the Electronic Health Records
- Act as a liaison between the mixing lab and the billing department
- Light administrative duties as needed

Schedule
Monday - Friday: 830am - 5:00pm
Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma.
- Experience working with insurance companies
- Knowledge of different types of coverage and policies
- Prefer candidates with at least one or two years working in a healthcare or billing setting.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, CPT codes and ICD-10 a plus.
