A Unique Opportunity: Grow with Us in Rhinelander
This position will be based at our brand-new Rhinelander location, scheduled to open in July of 2026. However, we’re looking for candidates to start within the next few months to ensure a strong onboarding experience and seamless transition when the new location opens.
Training will take place at our Wausau office, where you'll be immersed in our clinic's culture, values, and workflows while building strong connections with your future team. This is an exciting opportunity to help lay the foundation for a new clinic location and be part of something from the ground up.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Maintaining strict patient confidentiality and has an awareness of the sensitivity of patient information we handle.
- Greeting patients warmly with a smile and appropriate greeting and offers assistance as necessary.
- Verifies and/or enters patient demographic and insurance information accurately.
- Scheduling appointments.
- Preparing the reception and waiting areas for patient care each morning and closes them down at the end of the day.
- Checking in patient appointments in our EMR and alerts the assistants or audiologists.
- Collecting patient co-pays and payments.
- Entering recalls and calls patients to schedule when appointment is due
- Rotating starting shifts early and ending later with coworkers and completes opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Answering phones timely in a polite and helpful manner.
- Communicates effectively with patients, co-workers, and physicians verbally and in writing.
- Provides positive patient and co-worker interactions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a medical receptionist or equivalent role
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent patient service and communication skills
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and health information management
- Ability to manage multi-line phone systems and perform clerical tasks efficiently
