Bartender

Enswell is hiring a parttime daytime bartender to work 2-3 weekdays and brunch shifts. 
Weekday wage: $10/hour plus tips
Brunch wage: $5/hour plus tips 

Enswell is an all-day restaurant with a full kitchen, cafe, comprehensive cocktail menu, and bottleshop. Owned and operated by Rival Bros Coffee Roasters, Enswell opened in 2023 in the space of a previous Rival Bros cafe on Spruce Street. The restaurant brings together many different passions and services under one roof; Enswell aims to be a place where one might have a phenomenal cup of coffee right next to another enjoying a craft cocktail or upscale meal. 

We are looking for team members who are interested in supporting our front of house by bringing their bartending experience to daily operations. Enswell bartenders take ownership over the bar, cocktail area, and the overall experience of the guests. There is a mandate of teamwork through supporting the general front of house needs during all services which is outlined below. We are a small space so we must work together to deliver a superior experience. 

Essential Daytime Bartender Job Duties:

• Offer guests comprehensive and hospitable service through the guidance of guests through the menu, taking of orders, and serving drinks/food
• Serve bar rail & table section 
• Fulfilling drink tickets for full restaurant 
• Writing & completing prep list 
• Cash handling, cash till management, & daily cashout 
• Set up & shift change breakdown of bar, including completion of  all side work duties. Keep bar space clean through daily cleaning & deep cleaning tasks
• Receiving, checking in, & putting away orders of bar supplies including alcohol & bar prep items. Maintain an organized space behind bar and in storage areas 
• Completing bar prep tasks
• Assist with washing & polishing of glassware as needed 
• Have a clear understanding of all restaurant items and a willingness to help customers understand Enswell. Answer any guest questions about all menu and retail items for restaurant, bar, and cafe
• Strong understanding of New Liberty Distilling program and Pennsylvania distillers and classic cocktails, wine, and beer
• Support full FOH team to ensure guest experiences, including help with running food, greeting guests, and more
• Assist with the running of private events
• Communicate with staff and managers to keep the work environment functioning smoothly
• Complete all side work before clocking out and leaving for the day

Enswell’s Expectations: 

• Attend scheduled shifts on time and in accordance with dress code and appearance guidelines
• Fair notice of availability changes and time off requests 
• Strong knowledge of products sold in retail bottle shop, retail coffee beans, and menus
• Contribute to a safe work environment for full team                                                                                 

• This position will require the employee to periodically lift, push, pull or carry items up to 50 lbs in weight (putting away deliveries of boxes, cold brew kegs, outdoor furniture)
• This position requires the employee to stand for extended periods of time 
• This position will require the employee to periodically climb stairs, ramps or uneven surfaces
