What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Specialist position at ENSTRUCTURE LLC?
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for oversight and maintenance of all cargo inventory at the Terminal, providing support to Operations related to inventory, shipping, billing and other areas as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist terminal management in daily terminal operations.
- Responsible for maintaining inventory control, receipt and delivery of cargo.
- Interact with truck drivers and insure correct type of cargo and amount is loaded to truck.
- Assist in laying out terminal yard for vessel discharge of cargo.
- Direct Heavy equipment operators during vessel discharge and truck loadout.
- Assist to enter shipment information for various commodities (rebar, steel pipe, bulk, etc.) from bill of lading into inventory control system.
- Assist in distributing shipping documents to customers as needed.
- Assist in preparing shipment reports for billing.
- Prepare field logs for billing as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic math skills
- Must be computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with billing/invoicing is preferred.
- Experience in the maritime industry is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail required.
- Must have strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Willing and able to ask questions to clarify task at hand.
- Must be flexible & adaptable to changing operational needs.
- Must have flexibility and be able to work weekends, evenings, holidays when needed, required.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to interact with customers, including truck drivers.
- Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC.
- Must have the ability to work in an industrial environment, including outdoors in all weather conditions as needed.
