Position: Manufacturing Lead
Reports To: Director of Operations
Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Shift: 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM
Pay Range:
BASIC WORKER FUNCTION:
Oversee daily production in your department to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency. Act as a working leader by coordinating the team, monitoring workflow, and supporting continuous improvement to meet production goals.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF TASKS:
- Lead daily department operations, ensuring production goals are met safely and on schedule.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide guidance and training.
- Ensure work follows company standards, engineering specifications, and quality procedures.
- Help troubleshoot and solve production issues.
- Communicate with supervisors, other leads, and departments to coordinate workflow.
- Monitor inventory and report material shortages or equipment concerns.
- Keep accurate production records and documentation.
- Promote safety and maintain a clean, organized work area.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing or production experience.
- Leadership or team lead experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to train and mentor team members.
- Knowledge of production processes, workflow, and quality standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
- 3–5 years’ experience in manufacturing or production.
- Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement or lean manufacturing is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift frequently; lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive motions.
- Adequate vision for reading blueprints, instruments, and performing tasks.
- Wear required PPE as necessary.
- Occasional use of forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
Salary : $30 - $35
