Primary Objective:
We seek a proficient system administrator tasked with overseeing the maintenance, upgrading, and management of software, hardware, and networks. Their role is pivotal in ensuring seamless, efficient, and secure system operations. Additionally, the position entails troubleshooting and promptly resolving any encountered system issues.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain servers and networking equipment.
- Ensure system and network security by implementing best practices and monitoring for potential threats.
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Create and maintain documentation and procedures for IT systems.
- Collaborate with other IT staff and departments to ensure smooth operation of critical systems and networks.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a system administrator or similar role (5 years of experience preference).
- Knowledge of various operating systems and platforms.
- Ability to create scripts in PowerShell, Python, or other languages.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, VCP.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or XCP-ng.
- Experience with Microsoft365, especially SharePoint, Intune, and Azure.
- Experience with network and security protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and firewalls.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
This new role plays a crucial role in maintaining and managing the computer systems and networks within Enstor.
System Setup and Configuration:
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and hardware components.
- Ensure proper integration of new technologies into existing systems.
- Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
Network Administration:
- Troubleshoot network issues and ensure network security protocols are in place.
- Configure and maintain network services such as DNS, DHCP, and LDAP.
Security Management:
- Regularly update and patch systems to address security vulnerabilities.
- Conduct security audits and assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
Backup and Disaster Recovery:
- Develop and implement backup strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Create and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures.
- Test backup and recovery systems regularly to ensure reliability.
Monitoring and Performance Tuning:
- Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and capacity planning.
- Identify and resolve performance issues to optimize system efficiency.

Troubleshooting and Technical Support:

Technical Skills:
