Operational Management & Supervision:
- Oversee daily Food and Beverage operations, including staffing, scheduling, training, and orientation of the dining room team.
- Supervise the physical presentation of the dining room, including table setups, linens, silverware, and overall décor to ensure an immaculate, state-of-the-art facility.
- Oversee POS management, programming, and reporting, as well as overseeing beverage services, including wine and beer ordering, inventory control, and bartender supervision.
- Maintain essential records such as menus served, meal counts, temperature logs for equipment and food, special resident requests, and team schedules.
- Recruit, train, evaluate, and counsel dining room personnel to ensure excellent service standards.
- Develop a work environment that fosters teamwork, clear communication, and professional development.
- Serve as a mentor and role model, ensuring staff adherence to service protocols and health survey processes.
- Ensure that the dining room meets all State and Federal Health Survey requirements.
- Monitor and maintain the dining room’s physical environment, ensuring that all details—from furniture and fixtures to table presentation—are consistently maintained.
- Coordinate with the Nourishment Director to update and improve operational standards.
- Plan, schedule, and supervise events and catering services, including proper staffing, setup, and breakdown.
- Maintain open lines of communication with the Nourishment Director regarding dining room status, operational challenges, and staff performance.
- Provide regular feedback and ensure continuous staff training in line with company protocols and compliance standards.

- Communication: Communicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written formats across various audiences.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or Food Service Management is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in front-of-house operations within a restaurant, hotel, club, or similar establishment.
- At least two years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Proficient in English with strong oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage customer service issues, handle conflict, and promote teamwork.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to build and manage effective teams.
- Familiarity with POS systems and inventory control, particularly in beverage services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
- Food Handler’s and RBS Certificates (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
- Ability to stand and walk for 90% of the workday.
- Capable of stooping, bending, stretching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
