About the Position
Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional voice instructor to teach part-time at Green Brooms Music Academy, our Santa Monica, CA location. We are looking for teachers who will instruct IN PERSON!
Substitute teachers are brought in on an as-needed basis when regular teachers are absent with the possibility of taking on their own students. Teachers can set their availability within our open hours as needed, but both students and school staff appreciate consistency and preference will be given to candidates with greater availability. Saturday availability is required for this position. Ability to teach multiple instruments (especially piano) is desired but not required.
Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience, a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check.
Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $35-$37/hour. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available to all of our employees after 30 days on the job. Health benefits options are available for all part- and full-time employees at Ensemble.
