Company is a construction firm providing general contracting, design-build and construction management services to various sectors including water/wastewater, energy and power, transportation, commercial and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with preconstruction teams to develop and refine project budgets, cost models, and early planning documents.
  • Manage the procurement and subcontracting process, including scope definition, bid evaluations, and agreement execution for specialty trades.
  • Determine and coordinate required submittals, deliverables, and quantities for estimates and client packages.
  • Participate in hiring and onboarding project staff and subcontractors critical to project success.
  • Oversee daily project operations, documentation, and communication, escalating risks or issues as needed.
  • Maintain and update project schedules, milestones, and closeout requirements throughout the life of the job.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and field teams to ensure equipment, materials, and labor are available on schedule—especially for mechanical/electrical process equipment typical in water projects.
  • Monitor team performance and track results against established metrics and goals.
  • Lead change management by identifying scope modifications, issuing notices, pricing impacts, tracking approvals, and negotiating adjustments with owners or engineers.
  • Interpret contract requirements to ensure clarity on scope, risk items, deliverables, and budget constraints.
  • Contribute to pre-award planning, including scope reviews, design coordination, and estimating support.
  • Prepare regular project updates for internal leaders, including progress summaries, cost reports, and recommended corrective actions.
  • Track cost, schedule, and financial performance throughout all project phases using standard construction management tools and reporting systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Approximately 5–10 years of experience, with increasing responsibility on projects such as pump stations, treatment facilities, lift stations, or similar mechanical/civil utility work.
  • Strong working knowledge of estimating, field operations, project controls, and overall construction management fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in cost forecasting, scheduling, contract administration, risk management, and quality control.
  • Able to interpret technical details and make well-supported decisions in the field and during planning.
  • Familiarity with construction scheduling and project management platforms.
