Teacher/Learning Specialist

Enrichment Therapy & Learning Center (ETLC) is seeking a part-time Learning Specialist who is passionate about helping students grow through individualized instruction in a collaborative, supportive outpatient setting.

At ETLC, we believe every child deserves an educational approach tailored to their unique strengths and challenges. Our Learning Specialists work one-on-one and in small groups with students experiencing reading and math delays, attention deficits, executive functioning challenges, dyslexia, and other learning differences.

Instead of managing a classroom of 25 students, you'll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with each child, create individualized learning plans, and celebrate measurable progress alongside families and our interdisciplinary team.

Schedule

• Part-time (approximately 25–35 hours per week)
• Monday–Thursday
• Combination of daytime and after-school hours based on student scheduling
• No Fridays

Responsibilities

• Administer academic assessments in reading, writing, math, and related learning areas to identify student strengths and areas for growth
• Develop individualized learning plans based on assessment results
• Provide evidence-based instruction through both in-person and virtual sessions
• Adapt instruction to meet each student's unique learning style and needs
• Build meaningful relationships with students while fostering confidence, motivation, and independence
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and recommendations
• Collaborate with schools and other professionals when appropriate
• Collect and analyze student performance data to monitor progress
• Complete evaluation reports, progress reports, and individualized treatment plans in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate documentation and student records
• Support students in achieving meaningful academic and personal growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Special Education, or a related education field required
• Iowa teaching license preferred (or ability to obtain licensure)
• Experience working with students who have reading delays, math delays, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, dyslexia, or other learning differences preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and team members
• Passion for individualized instruction and helping students reach their full potential
