Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Nurse Midwife located in Hamden, CT. The Nurse Midwife will provide comprehensive care to patients, including prenatal, childbirth, postpartum, and newborn care, with a focus on promoting wellness and individualized care plans. Responsibilities include conducting physical examinations, developing care strategies, offering family planning advice, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care for patients. The role may also involve educating patients about health and wellness to foster long-term health outcomes.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Midwifery and Maternity care
- Strong knowledge of Family Planning and Perinatal Health
- Expertise in Nursing and general Medicine practices
- Ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers
- Current and valid licensure as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in women's health or maternity care preferred
- Knowledge of updated practices and guidelines in midwifery and family health
