Warehouse Associate/Driver

General summary

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to serve as a Warehouse Associate and Delivery/Pickup Driver. This position involves maintaining a clean, organized and efficient warehouse as well as picking up and delivering equipment and materials while ensuring timely and safe transportation. This position safely operates forklifts or other machinery to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, picking, staging, and transporting products.

Primary functions & responsibilities

• Fill Waukesha parts orders during the workday, verify part numbers and quantities, coordinate pickups, stage orders, and complete pickup paperwork.
• Provide 24/7 Waukesha on-call coverage on alternating weeks, Monday–Sunday, including filling orders and coordinating pickups. Orders typically take about 15 minutes to fill. Maintaining inventory integrity and accuracy
• Cycle count schedule each month
• Prepare shop pick tickets, verify inventory to the pick ticket, and stage for delivery
• Package and ship in accordance with packaging guidelines and accepted methods/practices
• Receive and unload incoming material from customers and vendors. Verify the packing list to the purchase orders for accuracy of shipment Sort, count, package, label, and unpack inventory that is received
• Inspect shipments for damages, loss, or defects, and notify the warehouse coordinator of findings
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and stand uplift
• Pick up and deliver materials, equipment, and supplies between company locations, vendors, and customers.
• Ensure proper handling, loading, and unloading of items to avoid damage.
• Verify delivery documents, invoices, and shipping instructions.
• Maintain and inspect delivery vehicles for safety and operational efficiency.
• Follow assigned routes and adhere to company delivery schedules.
• Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Perform general warehouse maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and organizing inventory.
• Assist in inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and tracking materials.
• Inspect and maintain warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) to ensure proper functioning.

Requirements

• Effective communication/comprehension skills - verbal and written
• Basic math equations - add, subtract, multiply, and divide
• Knowledge of Microsoft office
• Must have experience operating a Forklift
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• 1-2 years of experience in warehouse operations

Working conditions

• Work occurs in a non-climate-controlled shop for extended periods, including standing, crouching, lifting, bending, etc.
• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
