Job Description
The Field Service Representative will be responsible for the safety, cost performance, schedule, quality and overall management/ coordination of a site hydro project as it pertains to American Hydro’s scope of work. They will be responsible as the primary customer and AH interface at the site. Partake in the development of process improvements for site operations, including disassembly, re-assembly, machining, and welding operations. Authorize in resolution of personnel issues at site to include disposition of all craft labor contracted for the project.
Essential Functions Performed by the Position
- Responsible for site safety.
- Satisfies quality requirements as it relates to these tasks.
- Field Service Representative serves as primary contractual and managing contact with customers on-site during a Field Service project.
- Acts as the site superintendent and is responsible for hydro turbine and generator disassembly, field machining reassembly, alignment, and commissioning of the units.
- Responsible for managing assigned projects within budgeted cost and schedule requirements.
- Liaison between customers and the American Hydro Project Manager and Project Engineer
- Supervises assigned Field Service Technicians and Foreman and associated craft labor at a multi-shift union or non-union hydro project.
- Manages expense reporting and project expense estimating.
- Manages major subcontractors at site: Labor, Generator, Balance-of-plant, Civil Works, etc.
- Maintains and submits project documentation per the contract requirements.
- Coordinates Field Service shipping, activities, and schedules to meet Field Service and shop requirements.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Five years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High School Diploma or GED required

Environment and Working Conditions
- Remote location indoor powerhouse is most typical, some outdoor work is required but minimal.
