We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer to support our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, mechanical design, and CNC manufacturing. This role will support ongoing product development initiatives, contribute to process optimization, and help drive quality initiatives on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead New Product Introduction efforts from initial evaluation to customer qualification.
- Initiate and drive quality improvement processes to reduce scrap and non-conforming material.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing techs and quality engineering.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure successful execution.
- Conduct design reviews, tolerance analysis, and special process evaluations.
- Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities.
- Interface with our customers and sales team.
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards and company procedures. Update the materials, processes, and other engineering data in the ERP system.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering.
- Proven experience in project management, including planning, scheduling, and team coordination.
- Familiarity with GD&T, DFM/DFA principles, and ISO standards.
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD (including document management systems).
- Experience with CNC machining and CAM programming.
- Knowledge of CAM programming and probing software. Gibbs CAM or MasterCAM are the most preferred.
- PMP certification or formal project management training is a plus.
- Knowledge of semiconductor processes and tooling is very desirable.
