Essential Functions
- Provide guidance and technical information to end users, distributors, and sales personnel
- Create drawings to support the product line including drawings for bearing isolators and mechanical seals
- Develop content such as case studies, articles, and cost savings documentation to show the overall value of Garlock products
- Provide product training to internal and external teams as needed
- Represents the Company by membership in technical and professional societies
- Understands the competitive landscape by being aware of new product developments, applications, and markets
- Analyze field samples to understand the root cause of failure in the field and understand pervasive market problems
- Translates market insights to enhance both our commercial pipeline of new products and market campaigns for existing products
- Develop and deploy buyer enablement tools to help customers select our products
- Collaborates with Operations, Quality and Supply Chain on Critical To Quality (CTQ) attributes based on market insights
- Understands and actively participates in our digital strategy through the development of technical information on the Garlock website.
- Primarily supports the Klozure product line, but can backup and support other product lines as well.
- Work with our engineering team to develop and execute new product enhancements and competitive testing.
- Proactively specifies our target products within sales campaigns to further increase our product awareness and specification base in the market.

- BS degree in Engineering technology, or AAS with 3 years applications related experience or equivalent experience/knowledge.
- Computer Skills: Excel, CAD experience required (SolidWorks preferred)
- Experience in applications engineering and engineering procedures a plus.
- Organizational/Communication Skills
- Presentation Skills a plus
