Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance, ensuring their well-being and comfort. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, observation, and monitoring, as well as the ability to create a nurturing environment for those with varying needs, including individuals with disabilities.
**NO OVERNIGHT SHIFTS AVAILABLE**
**DRIVING IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION**
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services, including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs to ensure the health and safety of patients.
- Assist with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs.
- Observe and report changes in patients' conditions or behaviors to healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents in a group home setting.
- Support patients with daily activities, encouraging independence while providing necessary assistance.
- Engage patients in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Administer CPR and first aid when necessary, following established protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in patient care or working in a group home setting is preferred.
- Driving preferred.
- Strong skills in patient observation and monitoring to identify changes in health status.
- Ability to perform basic cooking tasks while adhering to dietary restrictions.
- Knowledge of vital signs measurement techniques is an asset.
- Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor are essential for this role.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
