Position Summary
The Level 4 CI Cyber Threat Analyst provides advanced counterintelligence support to identify and mitigate cyber threats targeting national security systems, infrastructure, and personnel. The analyst is responsible for fusing cyber, counterintelligence, and threat intelligence to inform operations and strategic risk assessments for the organization.

Target Salary Range: $120-145k

Position Summary
The Level 4 CI Cyber Threat Analyst provides advanced counterintelligence support to identify and mitigate cyber threats targeting national security systems, infrastructure, and personnel. The analyst is responsible for fusing cyber, counterintelligence, and threat intelligence to inform operations and strategic risk assessments for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct cyber threat analysis and counterintelligence assessments in support of national-level CI operations.
- Identify anomalous cyber behavior and insider threat indicators through pattern analysis, behavioral analytics, and forensic reviews.
- Support cyber and CI operations across NGA systems and networks, including supporting cyber incident investigations.
- Integrate intelligence data from a variety of sources, including SIGINT, HUMINT, OSINT, and technical sources.
- Develop formal CI threat assessments and brief findings to internal and external leadership.
- Provide subject matter expertise in the development of supply chain risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Support Information Assurance and defensive cyber operations with tailored CI analysis.
- Collaborate with mission partners and across IC/DoD agencies to enable coordinated response and countermeasures.
- Maintain awareness of evolving adversary cyber tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
- Operate within CI frameworks (ICD 750 series, DoD Manual 5240.01) and cybersecurity frameworks (RMF, NIST 800-53).
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Cybersecurity, Intelligence, Computer Science).
- 12+ years of counterintelligence or cyber threat analysis experience, including significant experience within the DoD or IC.
- Demonstrated expertise in CI cyber activities, investigations, and analytical reporting.
- Familiarity with cyber analysis tools (e.g., Palantir, ARCSIGHT, Splunk, TAC, etc.).
- Working knowledge of ICDs, DoDMs, and federal cybersecurity policies (ICD 503, 704, 731, etc.).
- Strong briefing and written communication skills.
- TS/SCI clearance required.
- Master's Degree or advanced training in cyber-related fields.
- CI Polygraph.
- Experience supporting Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) and Insider Threat programs.
- Graduate of a federal or DoD CI training academy.
- Technical certifications such as CEH, CISSP, or Security+.
